Project Overview

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is undertaking a significant construction project to improve the Garden State Parkway from Milepost 140 to 143. These improvements include: repairs and upgrades to bridge structures; new lighting; new median barriers; and new asphalt paving. Additionally, Galloping Hill Road Bridge over the Garden State Parkway will be upgraded with a new deck, new pedestrian sidewalk and new median barrier.

The project is funded by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s toll dollars and the Authority is committed to an extensive community outreach effort to keep the local communities fully informed of the project status and to minimize disruptions from construction operations.

Bridge No. 140.2, GSP under Galloping Hill Road

Bridge No. 141.3, GSP over Route 22 EB

Bridge No. 141.7, GSP over Morris Avenue (Route 82)

Bridge No. 141.9, GSP over Route 22 WB
